You may be wondering why our Premium Technical Grade Sodium Chlorite Flakes are said to be only 80%. It is a bit mis-leading, but scientifically accurate.
Sodium Chlorite is a fabricated substance that does exist naturally. In order to produce it, the substance must be generated in a laboratory-production setting.
Our Flakes are the highest purity Flakes available on the market. They are virtually 100% pure, of the 80% Sodium Chlorite.
What does this really mean?
Any manufacturer that tells you that their tech-grade flakes are 100% is lying. Scientifically, it is impossible. But you can purchase tech-grade flakes without impurities!
Sodium Chlorite naturally comes with a certain percentage of other ingredients. Those ingredients include:
small percentage of water (h2o)
small percentage of minerals
other forms of Sodium (Sodium Chlorate, Sodium Chloride, Sodium Carbonate, etc)
In a general sense, these are referred to as 'mineral salts' as they are all different forms of salt, and are part of the process. These forms of Sodium are not harmful.
In summary: this means that the flakes are 80% pure Sodium Chlorite, with ~20% other forms of sodium and water.
