What is with the different %'s on each bottle?

All of our kits come with two components: Part A and Part B.

Part A will always be Sodium Chlorite. Part B will be either Citric Acid, or Hydrochloric Acid (HCL).

Some companies sell their kits with different percentages of each component.

In order to properly make Chlorine Dioxide, specific strengths, or percentages, of each solution must be used. This is achieved by diluting them, or dissolving them in water.

Why is our Sodium Chlorite listed as 28%? Sodium chlorite in it's "pure" form is often found at an approximate 80% "purity" level. This means that there will be trace minerals and salts in it's composition. Once the Sodium Chlorite solution is made, it is technically a 28% ratio to water (H2O), but in it's "scientific sense" it is 22.4% with the remaining percentage ~5.6% being salts.

Citric Acid must be at a ratio of 50% and Hydrochloric Acid at 4% to be effective as activators. Citric Acid is a "weaker" acid, hence why it is at a higher percentage than HCL.
